2010 Cover for the Orcas Center

The Orcas Center recently hired Studio Stratus to shoot the cover/PR photos for their 2010 season. In order to accomplish the picture as the creative director envisioned,  I needed to shoot the actors separately.  The players were then composited into the scene.

Jesica and I were recently hired to do some work for the Orcas Family Fun website. Below is a press release we wrote explaining the project.

 The secret is out! Orcas Island is a premier destination for families. To help spread the word, a new website has been developed to attract families to visit Orcas in addition to a resource for those who live on the island.

Orcasfamilyfun.com includes weekly blogs highlighting great activities that have to do with children and families. To lend orcasfamilyfun.com a friendly, authentic voice, many of the weekly blog posts are written by local mom, Jesica Sweedler DeHart, who has her finger on the “pulse” of Orcas Island.

Orcasfamilyfun.com also has information on places to eat, shop, and stay. In addition, you can find resources on local artists, hikes, special events, and green living, to name just few. For a community our size, it is simply amazing how many family friendly opportunities there are on the island regardless of the weather.

Orcasfamilyfun.com is an informational resource developed through the Lodging Tax Facilities Program. We are asking anyone involved in the tourist industry to help promote the site.  We are also encouraging guest bloggers to post their own reviews and activities.

Spread the word. Orcasfamilyfun.com is a new, valuable resource for our community.
